Wilsona District Held September Textbook Hearing for the 2026–27 School Year

WILSONA GARDENS, Los Angeles County — Wilsona School District scheduled a September 10, 2026 public hearing on whether its students had sufficient textbooks and instructional materials for the 2026–27 school year.

The official notice stated that school board members would consider public input on materials for all students, including English learners. The hearing was listed for 3:30 p.m. at the district offices, 18050 East Avenue O.

What parents can still review

The public hearing date has passed and the notice does not on its own establish what the board ultimately decided. Parents interested in textbook availability should ask for the meeting minutes, resolution, staff report and how the district handles missing or damaged books.

If a child lacks an assigned textbook or appropriate learning material, families can contact the school principal for assistance. Participation in public school board proceedings does not depend on being an incorporated city resident; Wilsona Gardens is an unincorporated community within the district’s service area.
